NYFW DAY 1
11:30 PM
And here comes the first day of New York Fashion Week. The next few weeks we will be covering all the fashion shows from all the fashion weeks around the world (London, Milan and of course Paris). But let's start with our favourite one of all, New York. Last year we decided to create daily posts, with all the highlights and you loved it. That is why we will continue cover all the shows in this way. For those that are new readers: This means that the post will have not only a brief presentation of the runways, but there will be beauty trends and of course celebrity scoop featured as well. We hope that you like our idea for covering the shows! Stay tuned and let the fashion week begin...
You don't need a lot of words to speak about Tom Ford and his brilliant mind. Tom hosted the most glamorous event of NYFW and let's just say that he opened the hottest month of this season. And the level is already, so high. For a perfect night you just need; Tom, his creations, the legendary Four Season hotel and probably all of our favorite celebrities. But let's dive into the collection before we start talking about the celebs...
Tom Ford came back from Venice Film Festival with another attitude and we loved it because we saw him going back to his favorite silhouettes and probably his favorite decade; the 90's. We are aware that he loves women and all the feminine vibes that a woman can give, wearing his creations and he tries to show that almost every season. For this collection he created; tight pencil skirts that underneath we saw those amazing snaking leather boots. Tweed dresses and cinched leather jackets couldn't be out of his collection. Sequins, furs and knitwear were the highlights of the fashion show, combined beautifully with feathered maxi skirts that remind us that glam is finally on tap as he said at his after show interview.
But ok enough with the clothing glam, let's go directly to the after party. Everyone was there; From ex editors like Carine Roitfeld and her daughter, designers like DVF, models as Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Jessica Hart and actors like Uma Thurman and Julianne Moore. The night had everything that you can imagine, of course a lot of glam and a lot of TF creations. Those photos are from the red carpet before the show. The party was hosted at the same place where the runway took place.
Of course bathroom selfies couldn't be missed from the party and let's talk about this squad: Jessica Hart, Rita Ora and Annabelle Dexter-Jones. Best-dressed for sure!
So let's continue with another glamorous party that it is all about jewels. And of course we are talking about the Cartier's new Fifth Avenue Mansion Opening Party. The actual party started from the early morning, where Bianca Brandolini and an executive member of Cartier house, showed us around the new store and the collection as well live from their Facebook Page. So, in case you want to check this new place, go straight to their FB page and watch again the live-stream. As you can imagine, many celebrities attended this event and all of them wore amazing creations by Cartier.

Since we are done with the late night events, let's close our post and DAY 1 with an early morning event. "Once an it girl, always an it girl", was probably the quote of this event. Many fresh and young faces of the fashion field and not only, attended the It Girl luncheon hosted by W magazine's Lynn Hirschberg, Stefano Tonchi and Jimmy Choo's, Sandra Choi. From Dakota Fanning, Nicky Hilton to Hailey Baldwin and Stella Maxwell all of them looked like they are ready for a new W magazine editorial and guess what; we loved it!
I hope that you enjoyed our first post about NYFW! Stay tuned for the next days!
Thank you for reading.
