NYFW Highlights: DAY 4

DAY 4
The first show of the day was held by Victoria Beckham. Every season she becomes better and better because with every collection she defines the style of her brand. For this fall she presented comfortable sweaters with high waisted trousers, oversized maxi coats and feminine dresses. I was in love with the leather boots. On the other hand, Public School was influenced by sportswear style. Oversized fluffy coats, maxi cardigans, cropped jackets in grey, black and white.
At Derek Lam's collection we fell in love with the suede and leather details on the clothes, the A line waisted trousers, the fur coats and the cardigans. DNKY's show was the best ever. If you know me then you can tell that it was straight up my alley. The wool oversized coats and loose turtleneck sweaters, the tuxedos, the mini skirts and of course those shoes with the nike socks!
DVF's presentation for this fall had a bit of everything. She started her show with classy and feminine dresses and she continued with striped tuxedos paired with shirts. Flowery dresses combined with fur-detailed cropped coats, overisized colorful sweaters and suits in bright colors. What we loved were those tights and of corse the bags. But let's go to the opposide monochrome side of fashion shows. Yigal Azrouël presented leather printed jackets, geometrical printed and simple A line dresses as well as fur coats. What we loved from this show was the certainly the choice of hairstyle.
And if you think Azrouël's show had too much black in it, let's talk about Porsche Design's catwalk. Maxi and airy dresses combined with oversized belted coats, pony skin dresses with light brown boots and overalls in nude colors! Thakoon's fashion show took place in a futuristic scenery. The makeup was simple and natural and that was something that we loved. Now on the clothes Thakoon presented this year a few airy and classic dresses some with crystal details, flowers or various prints, wool maxi coats and total wool dresses.
Total leather outfits, printed sweaters, airy feminine dresses, oversized jackets in bright colors, leather and see-throught details were some of main points of what we saw at Prabal Gurung's fashion show. On the other hand, at Edun's show htere were total striped outfits, leather and wool coats combined with sweaters. Suede details weren't missed at the show. The best thing of the collection were those high knee leather/suede boots!
Let's talk about the people who attended all these shows. The Beckham family, naturally, was sitd at the front row of Victoria Beckham's show next to Anna Wintour.
