PFW S/S'15: Day 8
11:30 PM
This past month has been a blast! But before we finish off we shouldn't forget the glorious Paris Fashion Week that comes last.
So this is our last post of Fashion Weeks. I would like to thank you for your support in this difficult month on everyday posts. More are about to come so stay tuned ;)
Chanel & Valentino
Chanel always wants to release things that are prototype. This season Karl decided to transform the catwalk into a protest. As for the clothes: oversized knit jackets, printed skirts, maxi coats, colorful outfits, high waisted trousers, suede suits, flowers, strips, metallics, belts and leather details. On the other hand, Valentino's latest collection change the changed the image we had for this house. Ethnic and tribal prints, maxi coats, mini or maxi dresses and capes combined with the outfits. Apart from the "noise" of the prints, the house presented minimal mini dresses, sweaters and skirts in pastel and nude colors. My favorite pieces of the show were the classic airy see-through dresses with the printed hems. Excellent work from both houses.
Miu Miu & Louis Vuitton
Maxi coats with buttons for details, cropped jackets, high waisted skirts combined with crop tops, plaid shirts, petticoat for the shirts and tops with leather and flower details. Also belts was a basic accessory of the show for Miu Miu's spring-summer collection. Let's travel back in the 70's with the classy and beautiful dominance of Louis Vuitton. Nicolas played with high-waisted jeans or velvet pants, shirts and dresses with psychedelic prints, see-through, leather, striped skirts, dresses and tops. Also, the pick of the show were those amazing jackets!
Alexander McQueen & Valentin Yudashkin
Airy printed dresses, capes and jumpsuits were some of the main pieces that McQueen house presented for spring-summer 2015. Colors from soft pink to deep red and black combined with leather see-through details. Also, high-waisted skirts and pants combined with white shirts and belts. On the other hand Valentino's collection was more bright. Pastel, nude and white outfits were presented for spring. Lace maxi dresses full of flowers, metallic, see-through and leather details, suits, leather crop tops and skirts, lace dresses and silk jackets combined with pants.
Hermès & Moncler Gamme Rouge
Cozy cardigans, leather skirts and shirts, oversized sweaters and jackets, high-waisted jeans, shorts, leather coats and white maxi dresses were showed by the house of Hèrmes. Moncler Gamme Rouge presented for this season bomber cropped jackets combined with shorts or dresses. Also, cropped tops with skirts and see-through dresses were some of the main pieces of the collection. Furs, strips, lace and flowers when it came to the details.
Iris van Harpen & Paul and Joe
Extravagant details, 3D printed dresses, feathers, leather and amazing prints were a few of the features that were presented by Iris van Harpen. A different but in the same time spectacular fashion show. Dresses with deep cuts and belts, mini's, jackets, jumpsuits and oversized sweaters. Let's return to the 70's with the last show of this post and the last show of PFW. Τotal printed suits, airy dresses, high-waisted pants combined with silk shirts, suede capes and sleeveless jackets. So this is the end of an exhausting month full of posts. I would like to thank you again for your support and your reading. More are about to come so stay tuned for daily updates!
