Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week
11:57 PM
The first words that come to your mind when you talk about Paris Haute Couture Week are sparkle, unique fabrics and techniques, and generally some seriously intriguing fashion trends. This week had everything, great presentations, photographers and a hot ront row cast ready to discuss about everything! Instagram, for sure, was on fire, from Anna Dello Russo to Ricardo Tisci and from Derek Blasberg to Harry Brant. Paris Haute Couture will never disappoint you and this year for sure we had a few controversial feelings. We saw perfect and Ideal clothes, that we definetely want in our closets and that will set meany trends for the red carpets which are about to come. So, let's start with:
DAY 1
Atelier Versace: A mixture from 50's, 60's and 90's was presented on Donatella's catwalk. We had round-shouldered and boned-waist jackets, lot of dresses with deep cuts -always in this awesome deep purple-blue color- leather and fur. White with silver details and on the other side black with gold! Everything was in perfect harmony with some extreme details to create the absolute look from a different era.
DAY 2
Christian Dior: If you found Raf Simons in his previous collections boring, I don't know what you've been doing but I will continue because this is the time that you'll believe that he is the one for this House. Probably the best collection of the whole week. Everyone wrote, commented and in the end everyone was spechless. In this collection we saw the fairytail in frond of us. Dreamy dresses in pastel and mostly in white color with elegant details, normal and simple lines, coats with belts and zippers completed the scenery. On the other hand we have the total black outfits: tuxedos with coats or just a simple coat with pants. And the key of the night: the amazing shoes which completed every look!
Giambattista Valli: Let's escape from the Cristian Dior mood and go to something more fancy, colorful, playfull. Colors, navy, sparkle and flowers for Valli's latest collection. It was like you were having vacation in French Riviera during the 50's. Details of the night: Those awesome sunglasses and the turban.
Chanel: Something even more sophisticated and elegant. Karl for one more time showed that Chanel is the master of Haute Couture. Some pieces were more romantic, other more rock. It was very interesting watching this collection because you didn't know what was coming next. I loved the camil coats and the silver-sparkle dresses.
DAY 4
Valentino: If you want to seem like a Greek or Roman goddess this is the collection that you have to check out. For once again Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli didn't disappoint. Beautiful fabrics, patterns and shapes. Everything was very fresh and airy as the models walked! Loved the collection, especially those sandals!
