NYFW Highlights: DAY 8

6:45 PM

After a long break, Chromantics team makes a major comeback just in time for one of the most important seasons of the year. As you may have guessed, it's that time of the year again. The one when we all try to catch up with every single show (and sometimes fail miserably). But -as always- somewhere along the way we'll manage once again to bring to you our POV from all our favorite shows, trends and after parties from the first day of NYFW 'till the very last one of Paris Fashion. So, let's dig in the shows of NYFW Day 8. (DAY 1,DAY 2DAY 3DAY 4, DAY 5

All aboard? All aboard? That was the feeling at the Ralph Lauren's Spring-Summer collection 2016. With a range of accessories from straw bags to captain's hat and all the American colour palette, the designers idea came across. Bold and eccentric, yet effortless colours made their appearance together with leather and clingy stripped knit dresses. We are all ahoy for the looks and can't get away from the seaside effect.Graphic prints, grommets, straps and slits sums up the collection brought by J.Mendel. A more-is-more aesthetic hit home but the clothing that made the most impression is a charmingly sporty yet cream textured silk crepe anorak with an inspiration of a Japan print.

Next up couldn't be anyone else that the Calvin Klein Collecion. Slip dresses with a loose fit, strong black and white alternations but the floral print into off-black fabrics. Calvin Klein seemed to follow the trend of unusual colours for Spring-Summer 2016 which we grew to love. The slip dresses with sequins or just white ones it's a reminder of the brands 1994 collection which defined an era. We are loving the easy going but glam way Calvin Klein created for next Spring Summer. Continuing on with the black and white theme but also the off-black and greys is Wendy Nichol. We are totally crazy with the trench coat and the strong hat. Staying true to her colours, the designer moved ahead and did a romantic yet dark Spring Summer 2016 collection. Crop tops,  long flared pants, long skirts but a touch of sheer was there to remind the easy going vibe of the period.

And if you think we are done with the strong construction of good or evil, which in fashion is white and black, you are mistaken because here comes Norma Kamali with her suggestion of this version this time with strong prints and a little bit or a lot bit of vibrant colours in mixed prints that just what the feeling you that you can throw them in your carry on and you are ready for Spring getaway destination. From the collection we didn't miss the raw denim designs. Last but definitely not least and going out with a BANG! was of course, Marc Jacobs. This year the designer surprised us all with his forced  choice of runway venue in Ziegfield theater center, where the "Marc Jacobs-One Night Only!" took place. The crowd was involved and the runway had the feeling of a red carpet moment for the models walking down. As Vogue has written, the show was a love letter to the movies and you can see it to the aesthetic of the clothes. Hidden details and meanings deserve to give those pieces an up and close look.

It's New York of course,  so front row people and parties can not be excluded!First of all we have the Calvin Klein Collection Front Row.
