The Shoes Of The Season
10:38 AM
Since the fashion magazines came out with their September issues, which are along with the March issues the biggest ones of the year, I came up with the idea to create a post about the must-have shoes of this season. The photoshoots and the articles were plenty, and after my personal shopping exploration, I can now present you the results!
Sneakers
The title of the "Lord of the Sneakers" for this year goes rightfully to Chanel. We loved every piece from them on the latest supermarket-trip/catwalk. So, how can we leave this trend go away? The craziest your shoes are the better for you and your outfits. Many bloggers wear them with suits and midi skirts giving a interesting twist to their outfits!
Boots.
Have they ever been out of fashion? Thigh-high or equestrian-styled boots were, are and will always be in fashion. The difference this year is that we see them in a variety of materials other than leather. Croc is the new must and patent leather completes the scenery. Also, zippers and laces are acceptable!
Ankle Boots
This trend came to stay. I cannot think that you would throw your ankle boots away from last year. In case you did, you should buy new ones because our beloved designers voted again for ankle boots. This year the style is closer to rock. Metal ellements, zippers and thick soles will be the masters of the season for these shoes. If you are not the classic carefree rock girl you should go for suede in brown or black colors.
Loafers
Olivia Palermo insists that loafers are a must-have and here we are to agree with her. Personally I am a fanatic. This year things are even more rock (you know it now) and more 60's. Loafers became more pointed, with patent leather or croc. Prefer them in blueblack, deep green or red and of course black.
High Heels
What is the shoe industry without high heels. I will tell you: Nothing. This year put some fantasy on your shoes. Awesome decorations, metal or gold elements, complicated textures and pointed toes will be dominating this year's trends. The heels should be thick or very thin as we saw at Tom Ford's collection. So as you can see, it's up to you.
