MTV Video Music Awards 2014: Best & Worst Dressed

4:27 PM

This year's VMAs had it all. Great performances (wardrobe malfunctions and twerking moves included), emotional moments and a lot of red carpet appearances ready to be commented on. We saw a lot of animal print, silver details, and a few mishaps. I let you choose for yourselves who were the best and worst dressed, I think it's a bit obvious most of the times. So, let's get more specific:

Let's start off with something easy: the Jenner-Kardashian family. I think the young Jenners prooved that this family indeed has style. We also liked Kim's dress and let's leave this subject there.

I think that Miley Cyrus and Sarah Hylland looked fabulous. Quite minimal choices with intriguing details, enough to shake things up.

Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks looking amazing in white and Demi Lovato once again being bold. I think red is always a good idea when it comes to formal events (even though there's always the danger of the dress matching the colour of the carpet.), but not a safe one because it's one of those colours which stands out.

Black and silver details which I'm not quite sure if they paid of for everyone; I firmly believe that Beyonce and Iggy Azalea had better moments on the read carpet. Also what is up with Ariana Grande and total leather outfits? It does look good but is it really her style?

Amber Rose wearing chains and a thong (only Rihanna would get along with this outfit but anyway) and Charli XCX wearing a poorly made tiger costume. And no I couldn't wait to finish off the best dressed first, sorry.
A  bit disappointed with those outfits, Taylor Swift, Gwen Stefany and Chloe Grace Moretz always have interesting and stylish outfits on the red carpet, I'm not quite sure about this time though... Also Chloe you're 17 not 50.

Rita Ora looked just gorgeous! Loved the design, the colour and basically everything else about this appearance. And now let's talk about the most interesting couple of the evening. Katy Perry and her friend took us down the memory lane when they remind us of the matching patchwork-denim outfits that Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake wore at the 2001 VMAs. One word: Nostalgia.

Mixed feelings for the outfits worn by the ladies above. There's just something about the styling and the way the pieces are put together that doesn't looks good to me -that's just my personal opinion- Even though, I have to admit that each outfit had great potential, but for me they didn't work in the end.
Last but not least Michelle Williams and Solagne Knowles; again there was something off about them. I think Michelle's print was a bit too much and Solagne's outfit was a bit poorly tailored, and not in a stylish way.
