Marc Jacobs for Sephora

Sooo the new makeup line by Marc Jacobs is a thing. 122 different products in funky colours (and names) and some neutral shades will be released soon and from what we read at HuffingtonPost.com it'll be Sephora's first global product launch.
From what we read on Elle the line is going to be divided in four categories: Smart Complexion (Concealer, foundation and powder), Blaquer (Pen eyeliner, Lash lifter, gel crayon), Hi-Per Colour (Lip products, eye shadow, blush, bronzer and nail laquers), and the unisex Boy Tested, Girl Approved (lip balms, brow gel and concealer).
Prices are somewhere between 24$ for a lip balm and 59$ for a seven-colour eyeshadow palette; quite reasonable for designer products.
The line is going to hit Sephora on August 9th but there's also going to be a teaser for some of the products on July 19th (in less than a week!).
Jacobs told Elle: "We spent a lot of time developing materials and choosing the colors," he said. "We work with the technicians at the mills to achieve a certain effect, so we did the same thing with Sephora. The color palette tells a story and that story is based on a spirit. I chose different types of characters, such as an ingénue."
He also told WWD:“Anything to me that is part of the joy, the ritual, of getting dressed — things that women enjoy like bags, shoes, fragrance, clothes, makeup — that’s what fashion’s about for me,I love the opportunity, wherever there is one, to adorn, to decorate, to scent, to dress. That’s what fashion’s all about. It’s not necessary, it’s something you want — it’s a fancy and a whim.”
